Ellingson Holds 2nd Annual Golf for a Cure Tournament
The Ellingson Relay For Life Team hosted its 2nd Annual Golf for a Cure Tournament at Alexandria Golf Club in Alexandria MN on Thursday, June 25, 2018. $11,500 was raised to help the American Cancer Society fund cancer research, patient care services, education, prevention initiatives, and so much more.
Golfers enjoyed a variety of competitions in addition to the 18-hole scramble. Activities included men’s and women’s longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt, and closest to the “purple toilet.” As well as the chance to hire pros, Ben Vangsness and Josh Sherlin, buy the red tee box and roll the dice games.
Many thanks go out to the players, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make our annual golf outing a successful fundraising event. We are thankful to work with great businesses and be part of such a generous community!
Relay For Life is a chance for communities to fight back against cancer. It’s a chance to honor those who are currently fighting cancer, those who have beat it, and those brave individuals who have lost their battle to the unforgiving disease.
